Declan Lee, Account Director
Declan has over 6 years experience in the public relations industry working with national and international clients across a range of sectors including media relations, sports PR, sponsorship, political PR, crisis management, corporate PR, event management and sports management. He has a proven track record in devising strategic, creative and successful PR campaigns for his client and also at planning and activating key sponsorships.
His experience is exemplified in the range of contacts his has within the Irish media and has worked with such clients as the Irish Sports Council, the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism, 3 Ireland, Boylesports, William Hill, Athletics Ireland, Dundalk Institute of Technology and Ballymore Properties.
He was the Press Officer for Rally Ireland 2009, which was the first round of the World Rally Championship and was also Media Consultant on Athletics Ireland’s successful bid to host the European Cross Country Championships in 2009. He also initiated and publicised Ireland’s first Irish sports book of the year award, now run on behalf of William Hill.
Declan handled the Camogie Association’s first sponsorship for their All-Stars with Energise Sport along with Spar’s sponsorship of the Athletics Ireland Mile Challenge, 3’s sponsorship of the Irish Open and Boylesports involvement with the Irish Guineas.
Declan holds a BA honours degree from University College Dublin and a Postgraduate Diploma (Hons) in Public Relations from the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII) and is also a member of the PRII.
