Nua Healthcare creates 40 new jobs this summer with the launch of two new facilities in Offaly and Kildare

Nua Healthcare which provides services across 14 facilities in Kildare and Laois, is expanding its services this summer with the opening of two additional specialist facilities.
This first facility, a Residential Assessment Centre in Offaly, will employ in excess of 15 people on completion and will cater for up to 4 children with Autism. The facility will provide en suite bedrooms, several social rooms and secure play areas. It also boasts a specialist ancillary day activity centre catering for up to 8 children. The facility is located on a private site with ample space and has over over an acre of secure gardens.
The second new Nua Healthcare facility to open this summer is in Kilcullen, Co Kildare. This facility will create over 25 new jobs on completion in July. The Kilcullen facility is a new purpose designed facility catering for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and problems associated with ageing, such as Alzheimer's disease or Dementia. The facility comprises of eight en-suite bedrooms for residents, secure landscaped gardens, multiple social rooms and specialist bathing / therapy areas.
Speaking about the expansion and job creation, Ed Dunne, CEO of Nua Healthcare said, “There is a significant gap in services for individuals affected by these conditions in Ireland and Nua Healthcare is delighted to be opening these facilities to offer a quality alternative to non specialist centers. Regarding the recruitment drive for the 40 positions across Offaly and Kildare Ed Dunne explained, “We are starting the recruitment search for both facilities now and we will be looking for individuals in the areas of Nursing and Social care disciplines. We hope to have these roles filled within the next three to four weeks".
Nua Healthcare Services provides crucial specialised residential, respite and day services to individuals with a range of diagnosis from all over Ireland. People who avail of services with Nua Healthcare present with a broad range of challenges, which include Intellectual Disability, Acquired Brain Injury, Mental Health issues and Asperger's Syndrome, amongst others. The organisation currently employs over 120 full time staff in the Leinster region.
Nua Healthcares approach is to design a service around each person as opposed to trying to fit the person into an existing service. Each person can have very specific interests and needs which have to be supported.
