Social Media

The social media phenomenon has become a significant marketing and cultural tool. Social Media, through web-based and mobile technologies turns communication into social interaction.

Social media has changed forever the way brands, organisations and associations interact with their key stakeholders.  People can now interact with their favourite brand or organisation through their Twitter sites, Facebook pages or follow their blogs.  Those who interact successfully with their followers build a greater trust and understanding with their stakeholders; those who don’t fall further behind in gaining new members or fans and lose trust and popularity.

OHC has experience in running integrated social media campaigns to complement and enhance traditional PR techniques.  We have worked with some of Ireland’s biggest companies and organisations to grow their online following and guide them in how to interact successfully with their stakeholders through social media and foster better communications.

For a social media campaign to work effectively, all the tools must be channelled and work together.  A blog post will be relayed through Twitter and Facebook, a media release will be posted on Facebook, and links to important information will be available through the social media tools all linking back to a main site.  When they work in harmony one will communicate effectively with one’s stakeholders and begin to build the image and reputation of a brand or organisation alongside an integrated PR campaign.
